The RBS 3216 and 3116 are the WCDMA application of Ericsson’s new, compact, scalable and flexible indoor and outdoor macro base stations for GSM and WCDMA. Combining small size and flexible configurations will 3216/3116 enable a large variety of configurations ranging from a small 3x1 WCDMA to high capacity dual band/dual mode WCDMA/GSM configurations.
The RBS 3216, available with a multitude of power supply voltage alternatives, is the versatile indoor version of the new base station design, whereas the RBS 3116, with its compressor-free climatic system, is the rugged, self contained version of the same. These two new high capacity base stations build upon Ericsson’s well-proven and highly successful designs, the RBS 3206 and RBS 3106. These Ericsson macro base stations have been successfully deployed in commercial networks.
